TIENANMEN SQUAREThe sight of the Tienanmen Square massacre or what is called the Tienanmen Square massacre happened at Tienanmen Square in Beijing China. The Tienanmen Square massacre caused the international community to impose trade embargoes against the existing Chinese government at the time. The civil unrest in China was the main factor in the cause of the Tienanmen Square massacre. When the Chinese government decided that they wanted to stop the protesters they sent in their arm forces shut down the protesting. The protests were not only limited to the Tienanmen Square in Beijing. There were also people protesting in other parts of China. The protesting was not good for the Chinese government so they crushed the protester by force. The estimates of civilian deaths varied from hundreds to thousands.In China this movement is most commonly called the June 4th incident. The group of protesters involved were organized by students across China. They were calling for free press and free speech among other things. The ideas of free press and free speech was not good for the existing Chinese government at the time. The students who were protesting want a more democratic society. They also wanted to have a free job market and not to be assigned a job by the state.The Chinese government decided to mess with the economic structure which triggered a shift in their economy. The Chinese government dropped the prices of goods and people started to withdraw money and stock up on resource. The changes to the economic system made the Chinese citizen rely on the government more and because of this, the citizen were not pleased. This gave more power to the

protests that where happening crossing China. The changes that were made to the economic system did not work in favor of the China government and they decided to go back to the original structure. The leaders of China put their friends into positions of power and this also had an impact on the economic system.
In 1976 when chairman MosZedongs died his successor took over and his name was Deng Xiaoping. When Mos was in offices he dealt blows to the economic structure of China. Deng Xiaoping put reforms in place to fix the problems cause by the collapse of the economy and by the unrest in China. When the students would not stop protesting the government started to call them plots to over throw the current government. The government call them plots in hopes of deterring protesters but this action did not work. This action only caused the people of China to get angrier and encouraged the protests to continue to rally. The students used the June 4 massacre as a way to rally support for their cause. When the government opened up the job market the companies that where focused to except students as employees started doing favors for friends, this was all not good for the economy. These favors caused unskilled workers to get the good jobs and the educated people were unable to get jobs in the fields they were trained for.
